I'll bet money that you need a new Main relay, very common problem on Accords 90-93 P/n 39400-sm4-003 about $60.00 at the dealer if they don't rip you off. It located up under the dashboard right by your main fuse box, about three inches by one inch in size, one large electrical plug connected to the top and a small metal bracket on the side with one 10mm bolt holding it to the kick panel. The small EC board inside the relay cracks due to age and temps, you end up with shorts on the contacts. To test you can find the relay I describe the next time it will no start and smack it a little and try to start again, I'm pretty certain this is your problem.I've done everything but put it in for you, you can handle the rest. You still have problem, or another question feel free to reply.

JCN

JCN is correct :)
if U live in a hot area, it's a common problem for '90-93 Accords
Next time it happens just look for that relay (black cover, I believe) and use something to tap on it few times to see if U can start right away. If U can start right away, take the relay out and change it.

I like to add 2 more things related to your hard start problem:
1) Starter - to test if it's starter, use the wheel jack to knock on it few times and start. If U can start right away after knocking, the starter is fixing to go out. (starters go out faster in old Camry than Accord)
2) Distributor - it's hard to test it, if it goes out, your car won't start at all. But in some rare occasions, hard starts can be related to "weak" distributor

The main relay is how signal (electrical pulse) get to your fuel pump as well as your ignitor inside your distributer. I crucial component of your ignition system. 39400-sm4-003 is the Honda part number for the item you need to replace. The honda dealer know what this number means. You'll not need any additional parts to complete the repair other than a new main relay and a 10mm socket wrench. You know you have the right part to remove if it has a number on the side of the black plastic that say something like RZ-088 or RZ something I'm not remember the exact numbers. :)
