Right off my head, I don't know about the HP of both cars
U can do some research online to find out.
If U want a fast car, U should get the 300zx twin turbo.
The turbo in 300zx from '90 up did not have much trouble like the older model.
I'm pretty sure the Z can take out 3000GT :)

What the heck are you thinking ??
3000 GT ???
they have nothing but problems . comparing with 91 model and up (300zx)
personally, I just don't like nissan turbo .
Due to bad experience with my friend 300zx turbo . I burned his car :)
I am pretty sure that Nissan 300zx 92 twin turbo is a racing machine !
however, I don't think the Nissan 240 can smoke 3.0 v6 of the legend .
Did you put Nos system on that one or turbo charge ?
:D

It's a very good price with low miles (< 100K), go for it!!!
I advice not to buy turbo in old car (even 300zx turbo from '90 up is not that bad).
There are bunch of mod kits for this car. U can add on to make the car runs like turbo :D

Have you ever see an front wheel drive smoke rear wheel drive? You should go back in time, i believe the early 1970 the 240 put on of the sport car company in UK out of bussiness permanently. True 240 is truely a sport car, legend is luxury sedan car.

For some reason i couldn't log in SKYLINE, so i have to made this sn to reply. I must admit Honda is build good cars, young people like accept me, can you give some example what FRW cars got beaten by FFW? Where i came from, I had few chance to see races that no body can match. Do you know anything about drift Playboi? I've seen too many of American races and tired of it, all do they is to pump all the horse power in the car and put in NOS, and go straightway only. I don't see any skill in the driver, the race is to show your skill and your car engine , but none of the race fit my eyes.:cigar:

speaking of beating rwd in a straightline..
ive seen vids of civic si with about 13lbs of boost literally walked on vette c5...
another hatch with boost smoked a viper...
drifting....its not popular here yet in the states...<cus our roads are too big anyway>
but since initial D made its debut here....ive seen many are starting to jump in the bandwagon and buy ae86 and 240sx <s15 wannabes> to drift now..
there are even fwd drifting too..but ive yet to see how its done...
most guys here do circuit racing or autox though...
and the alot of them are itR drivers...
theyve won numerous races...
check out realtime racing..ips..and a&j racing..
theyre the honda guys that do some admirable hardcore racing..
<dont forget the skunk2 lil hatch>
Drifting is not easy to do, myself has done it few times on SW20 the feeling when you drift it feel so different. True Honda is good at racing too, but some of the experts from the automotive industries said "Honda need build more frw cars". I'm not trying put Honda down or something, yet it the fact. :weed:

honda initially started making economy cars...lightweight and fuel economy...
it was never meant to be drifted...<although the nsx and the s2000 are track monsters>
although i have yet to "drift"...theres no need to..
i do know that there are plenty of factors involved with drift..
mostly suspension/TIRES...

I have an 88 nissan 300ZX w/o turbo, it's a stock engine with about 160 hp, nearly 177K of miles on it. i it's losing it's hp by now, but it's a great car, 1/4mile runs 15.8@89mph (why? how? i actually didn't upgrade anything to my car, i just give it a high octane gas fuel, and good cleaning system, any engine or fuel injector cleaner should do the work), on the street it owns all civics and accord even integra GR-R stock. it even beat a AT mustang GT by a body length , but i've never tried racing a 3000gt(me scare). but just recently my friend got a acura TL-S, that shit just burns me so bad. but yea, 300zx is a great car, eventhough i don't have a 90 and up model, i think it's very a nice and reliable car. 90-96 model 300zx w/ turbo has 300HP and 1/4miles is 14.2 i think, and it could beat a 3000gt. if you want to check the statues and performance of any stock cars then go to www.caranddriver.com.

Damn Playboi... you were everywhere aren't you !
BTW, whoever posted the question, I hope you haven't bought the car yet... I've been told that the 300ZX is not a good car - the engine bay is too small. I guess if you don't plan on doing any mods it may be ok... but if you are gonna do it up, best to do it with a high base model. Go for a Skyline... and if you got the money... Supra !
Are you talking about Nissan Skyline GT-R or Skyline? They have two different kind of Skyline, Skyline is G35 in US. Skyline GT-R is only Japan, yet it can be purchase to US but will you willing to pay or not.

I'm talking about the GTR... btw, I'm not in the US... I'm in Australia... but hell, even a R32 costs a fair bit over here !
