Is this car popular in US? I'm asking because at the end of this year I might get one (borrow half the money from the bank :D ).

In Australia most Vietnamese/Asians are driving either Toyota Celica or Honda Integra. Go to a car park and if you see those 2 cars parking, you can bet there will be lots of Asians around :) .

Anyway, I want to drive something else and so far I've only seen 2 Cougar driven on the street

Thanks for reading.

In the US, this particular car is called "Mercury Cougar", it belongs to Ford Corp. It is a nice looking car, I like it but it seems like car consumer is not so attracted to it and in fact 2002 was Cougar last year.
As you know FORD (stand for Fix Or Repair Daily) it's reliability issue is not great. However, it costs a little less than the Integra or Cellica.

You got what you paid for, buddy. Good luck.

Just my .02 cents

If U ask my advice, I will tell U to stay away from it.
I do not pay too much attention in US cars so I cannot tell U all the problems they have.

But hey, it's your money and your decision!

Sounds bad so far :p . The price tag for all three Toyota Celica/Honda Integra/Ford Cougar in Australia is about the same, $40,000 - $45,000 AUD.

Well, time to look around again. Thanks

Ford Falcon BA just won Wheel of the Year in Australia a few weeks ago. The last time they won it was in 1962 or so

What does the Honda Integra look like? Does it look like the Acura Integra here in the state? If it does, I take it over the Cellica.

No you shouldn't buy one, Ford safety and reliable are really poor. Buy Japanese cars instead.

Yes.
In AUS, there is no Acura division for Honda as in US; GM cars r called Holden .... overthere, no Caddi or Vett, no V8 period.

RR,
Go w/ JAP cars and u won't have to worry anything in the future.

Holden is Australia brand name, recently they got GM under the bonet. There're lots of V8 here, real Australians liek to drive them, they even have V8 racing every year :)

GM is :weed: Holden parent company but to make Aussie believe that AUS has its own brand, they use Holden but the styles, parts fit perfectly w/ GM one in US or around the world.:weed:

Ford have bad reputation for safety and reliability, save your money buy the Toyota Prius, Toyota Pod, Nissan Sentra, or Honda Civic Hyprid instead. Forget those V8, if you buy these cars you will save alot of money on gas, and the enviroment.
