the wires seems to not hold on tight to the spark plugs no more.
How many K miles that we need to change? how much for the parts V4-hondda accord-89?

I don't know what U mean by saying this "the wires seems to not hold on tight to the spark plugs no more."
For '89 Accord, there are 2 engine types (DX, LX has Carb, or LXi has EFI)
I recommend changing the plugs every 15K miles (help on gas mileage)
Use Nippondenso plugs (price from $1-$1.50 each)
It takes about 10 min to change 4 of them.

Question: How many miles a spark plug wire can last?
--> It depends. The rule of thumb is its resistance of the wire from one end to other end must be less than 15K ohm. Use an ohm meter to measure it.
Check its insulator for crack or worn. If there is, then replace the wire. Humidity can cause spark and misfire and even hurt yourself if you touch it. A worn wire can reduce your car's performance greatly.
While you are checking the wires, don't forget to check your distributor cap for any crack or worn. Most of the time, when you change a set of spark plug wires, your car's distributor's cap likely needs to be replaced, too.
Question: one of them does not keep in contact well with a plug.
--> Have you tried to snap the end of the wire properly to its plug? If its metal at its end is wide open for the plug, use a pair of needle pliers to make the holding smaller, and try again. Otherwise, it seems the wire gone bad. I would suggest to replace that wire.
One more thing, I would recommend to replace all the wire with the same brand.
Good luck and let me know how it turns out.

LXi (Fuel Injection) is a good model for that year :)
Tuanduc has the answer for U :)
Personally, I recommend people change the plugs every 15K mi and the wires+cap+rotor+PCV valve+air filter every 30K mi. This is just for good maintenance.
Some plugs can last 60K mi easily but the plugs are cheap and new plugs help your engine start fast, run better, and give better gas mileage :)
For ex, some manufacture recommends oil change every 5K, some 7.5K ... but I change it every 3K/3mo. Your pick!!!

eureku , Honda don't make v-4 engine :)
inline 4 thì có :D
thay spark plug thì depend , cho những xe chạy tren 100k miles , you have to take the spark plug out to see the condition of your engine, leak oil, burned too much oil, ect ....

When U open the hood, the spark plugs sit right in front of U .. if U can't find them, U better not change them :)
Anyway, 93-94 are diff from 96-97 ... be specific about the year of your car !!!

spark plugs are actually below the four holes that line horizontaly along the valve cover....
and 94-97 accords <5th gen> are basically the same..
slightly different in parts...<v6 engines are obviously different from i4>

more specific about your car???.
If you have the camry 96 V6XLE, you better not to change the spark plug on your own. There are 3 spark plug in front and other 3 are in the back. It the pain in the a$$ to change those plug. << Some mechanic don't change them for you becuase they are lazy >>>
If you have camry 97 is more easy than the older model...
Buy spark plug from the dealer is more better than those after market one. You tell that you are a student of mechanic, and they will give 10% off or more :) :) :)
Btw, you don't to put your spark plug too hard or too loose :) :)

Yea, AZ will try to sell U the Bosch Platinum+4 and they will say it's the best in the business, which is NOT true at all.
Put that in a Japanese car and it will mess up the Iginition system.
For late model Accord, U can buy it from dealer or get the Nippondenso platinum. Don't put any other brand or U'll be sorry.
Hondas like to take Denso and NGK plugs. Changing interval depends on the condition of the engine. I highly recommend 15Kmi/inspection or changing.
Platinum plugs last for 100K supposely...but rarely :-(
Use your common sense; however, plugs are not that expensive...so you want to replace them at every tune up...in most cases, it's easy to do.
Caution: do not unscrew the plugs when the engine is hot...use anti-sieze during installation.

Eureku, wen u change the s-plugs make sure ur soket still got the rubber-ring to hold the s-plug not to drop down,if u drop it make sure recheck the gap(look at the specifiction card under the bonet to find s-plug's gap),i prefer do a few teeth by hand(if u can)then do the rest by the wrench, before install the s-plugs i suggest u put a very little oil on the length of the teeth of the s-plugs,so u can remove them easier at the next change.Don't forget to check the timing after change all the s-plugs.
Try to understand me 'cause my English is so bad.Good luck mate.

TRUE !
same thing goes with oil. It can last 15K but if U wait 15K to change oil, ur engine will go out faster :)
My little advice:
Change oil 3K/3mth which ever comes first
Change plug 30K/24mths
If you want the best spark plugs, and spark plugs wire buy the Denso Iridium, NGK Silicone wires each of the Iridium cost around 12.50 each and NGK wires around 95 bucks for 6 cylinder don't know about the 4 cyl. What ever want to do don't buy BOSCH plugs, my friend replaced his 94 Supra 3 ago and than today he checked his spark again, he found a chip on spark plugs. Well you get the picture.
